You can choose to target one or two groups of muscles during a single workout, skip a day, and then target another group or groups during your next scheduled workout.  After that, you can take a few days off, then start back to the first targeted group, skip a day, work the next group or groups, skip several days, and so forth.

Products claiming to build your muscles magically without you having to do anything are just that; claims.  Honestly, there is no magic shake you can drink, go to bed, and wake up with a fabulous muscular body.  It just does not work that way.  You have to first build the muscles, and then shape them with proper training techniques.

Your best source of body building protein is food, but it can get expensive and it is easy to get tired of eating the large amounts of protein required.  Protein supplements combined with high protein food is your best plan, but be selective when making your supplement choices.

You can find good quality protein sources in shakes.  Most nutrition centers offer powdered shake mixes in various flavors.  The powder can be mixed with water or skim milk for a quick protein shake.  These powders are generally high in calories, protein, fiber, carbohydrates, magnesium, and calcium.
